Our Story

At Whimsical Tales by Lucia Alberti, storytelling is a celebration, tradition, and the belief that it's never too late to create.

Lucia Alberti began this journey in her 70s, transforming a lifelong passion for holiday magic into a new chapter as an author and illustrator. After years running Confetti Display, Inc., which brought seasonal enchantment to shopping centers across the country, Lucia returned to her creative roots--this time through the pages of storybooks.

In 2025, she released her first series, Books One, Two and Three, The Adventures of Johnathan Rhodes Fieldmouse, The Rythmic Tale of Willy the Whale, and a winter and Christmas collection, featuring heartfelt tales like The Winter Tale of Rescuing the Red Parrot, The Christmas Story of Confetti Teddy, and The Forgotten Box of Magical Christmas Ornaments. Each book is lovingly written and illustrated to spark wonder, encourage kindness, and bring famalies together.

Lucia's journey is a reminder that creativity doesn't retire. With every story, she proves that dreams don't have deadlines--and that some of the life's most magical chapters are still ahead.

Writing the stories and creating the illustrations has been a pure joy.

Holiday spectacles to storybook magic!

Below are just a few images of the Holiday Exhibits we designed and provided to the shopping center industry along with some of my fine art paintings, all of which were been created in my imagination, and have been exhibited in galleries here on Long Island, in New York where I reside. My whole life as been an exploration of the creativity of the mind and taking those conceptualized ideas from the drawing board into the world of reality. I believe anyone who shows an apptitude needs to be supported by their families so that their creative mind can florish.
