Chapter One
Molly spots the parrot
It was an especially cold winter, with snow blanketing the ground in a crisp, frozen layer. Each morning, Molly donned her warm coat and hat to venture into the backyard, ensuring the birds had fresh seed to eat.
As she prepared to step outside, Molly noticed a large red bird perched near the bird feeder. its was much bigger than a cardinal. Curious, she fetched her dad's binoculars for a closer look. To her amazement, the bird resembled a parrot!
