In every family, there's one person who becomes the storyteller. It might be Dad with his deep, steady voice, or Granddad whose stories seem to carry the warmth of a lifetime. Sometimes it's an uncle, a big brother, or even a neighbor who has that special gift for bringing stories to life. Whomever it is, children remember that voice forever.

As the holidays draw near, I often think about how much children love to climb on Santa's lap. To them, Santa isn't just a man in a red suit; he's comfort, warmth, and security. In many ways, he represents Dad or Grandad, the rock of the family, the one who provides, protects, and quietly holds everything together.

When a father or grandfather sits down to read a story, that same magic happens; the room changes. The story becomes more than words on a page; it becomes a memory. a child hears love in every line.

That is really what inspired my Wjhimical Tales stories. I wanted to bring families together in those quiet, beautiful moments, when the television is off, the phones are down, and eyes are on the storyteller. Whether it's Johntahn Rhodes Fieldmouse on an adventure or Willy the Whale meeting new friends beneath the sea, each story was written to be shared aloud-to invite laughter, closeness, and imagination.

And for the holidays, my special Christmas tales, Confetti Teddy, The Box of Forgotten Magical Christmas Ornaments, and the Winter Tale of Rescuing the Red Parrot, are perfect for these very occasions. Each story captures the essence of the holiday season in a uniquely heartwarming way--stories that create cherished memories of childhood, meant to be passed from one generation to the next.

So this holiday season, let someone in your family-maybe Dad, maybe Granddad take the storyteller's chair. Let his voice fill the room. Let the children gather close. And maybe, just maybe, those moments will become the stories they'll tell their own children someday. Begin your family's storytelling tradition today.
